The Carpet Cleaning Process
There is nothing more difficult than choosing the right carpet cleaner. There are many different companies using many different methods. With so many options how do you make the right choice? Our exclusive Hot Water Extraction Method, using truck mounted equipment, I.I.C.R.C. certified technicians, and powerful cleaning agents make it the most effective and thorough extraction method in the industry.

Total Solution's exclusive process begins with an all natural, hypo-allergenic pre-spray being applied to the carpet that begins to emulsify and break up the dirt and soils. Then, the 200 degree water and powerful suction extract deep down dirt, cleaning solution, and 95% of moisture for a fast drying time. It also removes dust, mites, allergens, and other microscopic pollutants that collect in your carpet and can trigger allergies and other breathing problems.

To follow up the cleaning we apply turbo fans to accelerate drying time and rake carpet fibers to restore the pile. Our exclusive method leaves no soapy residue, which keep carpets cleaner longer as well as being safe for children and pets. We also offer carpet protector application that will prolong the life of your carpet and help against permanent staining.

You can clearly see that Total Solution Cleaning Company is the best way to protect your investment.

Residential Carpet Cleaning
Total Solution knows how difficult it can be to maintain your carpet and keep it protected from life's inevitable dirt and stains. We offer a safe, effective process that removes even deep down dirt and stubborn stains while remaining safe for infants and pets. We pre-spray an emulsifier that breaks up the soil. This is followed by water and a textile rinse to restore a neutral PH level. Powerful suction removes deep down dirt and up to 95% of moisture for a quick drying time. Total Solution offers only the best in carpet and fabric protection. 3M Scotchgard protects your carpet investment, lengthening the life of your carpet. 3M Scotchgard repels dirt and spills making it easier to care for your carpet. 3M Scotchgard is the best soil protection for all types of carpet, as well as safe around family and pets. 3M Scotchgard delivers it’s protection by forming a molecular shield around each carpet fiber. The shield lowers the surface energy of the carpet fibers causing them to repel liquid spills as well as dust and dirt. This helps keep dirt and stains from being ground in or absorbed by the fibers. 3M Scotchgard protection is applied with air sprayers to ensure that every fiber is evenly coated. The area is then raked to allow deeper penetration. 3M Scotchgard is undetectable and does not change the appearance or texture of the carpet or fabrics. It just offers the superior protection you would expect from any Total Solution service we offer.

Carpet Cleaning - Pet Contamination
We all love our pets but they occasionally have accidents. When these problems are not addressed quickly, you can end up with some unpleasant odors that are very difficult to remove. That's when you need an odor removal expert. Total Solution has the know-how and professional products to remove complex odor problems at their source. While guaranteeing complete odor removal is not possible, we will provide you with different options depending on the severity of the damage.
      Light to Moderate
In this situation the pet urinated on the carpet only once in each location. Urine will not have permeated heavily into carpet pad and sub floor structure. In this case, we treat the contaminated areas topically with a two part system to attempt to alleviate both the stain and the odor. This is followed by a deep soil carpet extraction.
      Moderate to Severe
This is a contamination where the pet has repeatedly used the same spot. The carpet backing, pad, and floor have been saturated by urine. When the carpet is dry you can feel the sticky, oily residue left in the carpet. Contamination of this level requires several more steps. We would first lay back the carpet and remove contaminated padding. We would then seal the sub floor with an odor barrier. We would then treat carpet with an odor modifier to attack odorous materials. We would replace padding and reinstall the carpet, before completing the treatment with deep soil extraction.

Carpet Cleaning - Stain Removal
Total Solution's deep cleaning process is highly effective on everyday dirt and soil buildup but no matter how careful you are, you are bound to have some stubborn stains. Total Solution offers a wide variety of stain removers to eliminate almost most spots. We offer a filtration soil remover to remove dark lines along walls and behind doors, a stain remover that can eliminate or improve red wine and juice spills. We also have spotting agents to remove ink, gum, rust, grease, and many more spots. If stain removal is not possible we can provide you with an estimate to do a bonded insert or “patch” on the stained area.

Carpet Cleaning FAQ

Q. How do I need to prepare for my carpets to be cleaned?
A. Removal of any an all items from your floor is essential to having your carpets clean. We charge by the room, not the square footage. This means that the more furniture that is out of the room, the more we will clean for the same price. While we move some furniture, we do not move heavy items or furniture with excessive knick-knacks. Our cleaning technicians are able to move most furniture you request and replace it to its original location protecting it with plastic squares or Styrofoam blocks.

(Additional charges may apply)

Q. How long will it take for my carpets to dry?
A. While different weather conditions, humidity, temperature, and how soiled your carpets where will have an effect on drying time, you can expect your carpets to be dry within 6 hours of cleaning. That is the safe answer. Honestly though 90% of all of our jobs will be dry to the touch within 2 hours.

Q. Should I be concerned about chemical or detergent residue remaining in the carpet?
A. No, some cleaners use a soapy detergent followed only by extraction, leaving residue that causes rapid re-soiling. We use safe biodegradable detergent pre-spray, followed by a textile rinse that leaves carpet virtually residue free.

Q. Should I reapply 3M Scotchgard when I have my carpets cleaned?
A. Yes, reapplication is recommended for heavy traffic patterns. Regular household conditions that cause carpets to need cleaning (for example, dirt and spills in carpet) can contribute to a gradual "wearing off" of the protector. Cleaning alone will not remove 3M Scotchgard. Reapplication will ensure that the ease of the soil removal is maintained.

Q. How often should my carpets be cleaned?
A. While every house is different, most households are safe at cleaning 1 time per year. If you have pets and children, you may want to have them done every 6-8 months. Removing your shoes before you enter your house can help with this.

Q. I had someone out already and they said it couldn't be cleaned?
A. We love hearing that! With Total Solution's exclusive process and our wide array of stain removers we can remove many more of your carpets problems than your average carpet cleaners.
