THE
UPHOLSTERY CLEANING PROCESS
Total Solution Cleaning offers the ultimate in upholstery cleaning
and protection. We can clean almost any fabric, including delicate
and hard to clean fabrics. Our process follows the guide-lines set
by the IICRC.
1. First
we inspect the furniture, assessing any stains or spots, so we can
let you know what to expect from the cleaning.
2. Next,
we pre-condition the fabric allowing the cleaning agents to emulsify
the dirt and stains. We follow this with a textile rinse and
extraction to thoroughly remove soil and moisture.
3. If you
choose to, we will then apply Scotchgard Fine Fabric Protector.
4. We
then use high powered air movers to accelerate drying time.
5. On cut
pile fabrics we use a brush to groom the pile to lift it and leave
fabric looking like new.
There
are many different types and style of upholstery fabrics in use
today and each type requires specific treatment. These fabrics can
be irretrievably damaged by the use of incorrect cleaning methods.
We always pre-test the fabric for potential problems such as dye
bleed or shrinkage before we start to clean your furniture. This
means that we can use an appropriate cleaning method to ensure that
your furniture is not damage in any way. We have a range of cleaning
techniques and products at our disposal to make sure that the best
clean is achieved. All parts are cleaned, (including the back and
sides that some do miss out) and attention is given to the more
heavily soiled areas around the arms and head rest.
AFTER UPHOLSTERY CLEANING CARE
After your Upholsteries are cleaned you may wish to consider having
them treated with a stain protector. We use Scotchgard. The most
advanced protector on the market today. Using the latest
nano-technology, it keeps your Upholstery cleaner for longer by
coating each and every fiber with an invisible UV-stable naturally
breathing protective layer, therefore staying cleaner longer.
